Like Britania*, who fled a physically abusive relationship in another state and landed at our door
eight months pregnant with no prior prenatal care. Britania was afraid for her life, but she expressed
that she felt welcomed and accepted by our team after her very first visit. She was so amazed at the
level of care she would now receive, and how The Luke Clinic would support her even after her baby
arrived. Britania felt safe with our staff, so much so that she asked if one of us would be with her
during the birth of her child—an honor we were proud to accept! Britania’s journey with The Luke
